• Valentine's Day is February 14th. Did you know that Valentine's Day dates back to the 5th Century with Roman Pop Gelasuis. From there is has evolved into the Valentine's Day we celebrate today.

• President's Day is observed on Monday, February 18th. The day not only honors George Washington (born February 22), the first President of the United States, and Abraham Lincoln (born February 12) whose birthdays are both in February, but honors all the presidents who have served in the United States.

• Groundhog Day is February 2nd. Punxsutawney Phil predicts 6 more weeks of winter.

• I was born and raised in Torrance, California.

• I graduated from Torrance High School.

• I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Cal State Northridge.

• I have been happily married to my sweetheart, Gayle, for over 44 years.

• Our family is blessed with 6 children, their spouses,9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

• During my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, gardening, and spending quality time with my family.

• I have served as the Director and Past Chair of the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce, now known as the West Ventura County Business Alliance.

• I have also been a Director and Past Chair of Goodwill Industries for Ventura & Santa Barbara Counties.

• Member of Peace Lutheran Church in Camarillo.

• I have been actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America as a previous Scoutmaster and Cubmaster.

• I have also managed and coached youth sports teams.
